Care tips
Viscose and Italian silk are best maintained through hand washing. Use cool water and a gentle detergent made for delicate fabrics. Carefully agitate the garment without twisting or wringing it harshly. Thoroughly rinse in cool water. If using a machine, choose a gentle cycle with cool water and a detergent designed for delicates. Place the garment in a mesh laundry bag to avoid tangling or damage.
Harsh chemicals, chlorine bleach, and fabric softeners can damage delicate fabrics. Opt for mild detergents that are free of bleach and optical brighteners to preserve color and softness.
When handling these fabrics, avoid excessive agitation, twisting, or wringing which can stretch or damage the material. Gently squeeze out excess water, and reshape the garment carefully.
Air drying is ideal for viscose and silk to prevent shrinkage and maintain shape. Lay the garment flat on a dry towel or a drying rack, away from direct heat or sunlight which can alter the fabric.
Iron on a low to medium setting, and consider ironing on the reverse side or using a pressing cloth to shield the fabric from direct heat. Steaming is a good alternative to remove wrinkles without making direct contact.
Store your viscose and silk garments clean and completely dry, neatly folded in a cool, dry place away from sunlight and moisture to avoid discolouration or mildew.
